1. Get a good night's sleep.

2. Eat breakfast.

3. Take your time.

4. Skip difficult problems--but remember to come back to them!

5. Guess ONLY as a LAST RESORT! GAMBLING DOESN'T PAY!!

6. Don't leave any answers blank.

7. Practice diaphragm breathing and muscle relaxation. (Shrug shoulders. Shake out arms.)

8. Copy problems very carefully. Keep rows and columns neat and straight.

9. DON'T try to do too much in your head.

10. Concentrate (really concentrate!) [REALLY, REALLY CONCENTRATE!!!] on eliminating careless mistakes.

11. Try working back from the answers.

12. Check your work. Check it again!

13. Make sure that your answer makes sense.

14. Review difficult problems the night before the test.

15. Make little models and notes on your scratch paper. (e.g. percents to decimals)
